Conference 2011
The Association for Women in the Sciences (AWIS) provides a network for women interested in or working in the sciences. Our aims include assisting girls and women to gain confidence in their role in the sciences and provide visibility for women working in the sector.
Developing Women–Advancing Science will provide opportunities for women working in any field of science to develop their skills to benefit both their careers and personal lives, and provide opportunities for them to learn from and network with other women working in science. The programme will include keynotes and panel discussions with women who are leaders in their fields, workshops for career and personal development, as well as sessions to discuss some of the key scientific issues facing us in the 21st Century.
Developing Women-Advancing Science took place on 28th and 29th July 2011 at SKYCITY Auckland. Thanks to all our speakers and attendees for making it such a success.
The programme book, including bios of all the speakers, can be found here.
