My Story
I am an evolutionary biologist and moved to NZ from Brazil in 2010 to do my PhD at the University of Otago on the evolution of the dentition in dolphins and whales. Since 2017 I am a lecturer in Oral Biology at the University of Otago Faculty of Dentistry. I am curious and passionate about people and culture, the natural world and teeth, of course. I am an advocate for ethnical diversity and increased women participation in the sciences.
