AWIS AGM 2019

The AWIS AGM will be in Auckland this year.
All member are invited to join us, please RSVP (firstname.lastname@example.org) for catering purposes.
Date: Saturday 20th July
Venue: Brew on Quay, 102 Quay St, Auckland
The AGM will be your opportunity to learn more about the updated strategy for AWIS!
At the AGM we will consider and vote on the changes to the constitution, please download the constitution with highlighted changes for more detail. If you would like to have input on these changes but are unable to attend the AGM please email email@example.com.
Exec members will also be nominated at the AGM.
If you’ve got some ideas of what AWIS could do, or would like to make a difference to women in science, then consider joining the AWIS Executive. You can give as little or as much time as you’re able, but new ideas and thoughts are welcome and encouraged.
Positions available on the Executive are:
National Convenor – main AWIS contact, responsible for leading discussion on AWIS activities and assisting regional convenors (end of term for current National Convenor)
Secretary – secondary AWIS contact, responsible for managing incoming mail and drafting minutes of meetings and discussions
Treasurer – responsible for managing AWIS financial activities and records
Membership Secretary – responsible for managing AWIS’ electronic membership database
Editor – manage content for AWIS website and monthly e-newsletter
Regional Convenor – responsible for organising AWIS activities in specified region:
· Palmerston North
If you won't be at the AGM simply fill in the nomination form and get it back to firstname.lastname@example.org by 18 July. You can nominate yourself for more than one position, and members attending the AGM will be asked to vote if more than one nomination is received for a position.
Only current AWIS members are eligible to vote so please check your membership details and renew if you need to. Any problems contact email@example.com.
