This year's AGM will be held at the conference.

Exec members will be nominated at the AGM.

If you’ve got some ideas of what AWIS could do, or would like to make a difference to women in science, then consider joining the AWIS Executive. You can give as little or as much time as you’re able, but new ideas and thoughts are welcome and encouraged.

Positions available on the Executive are:

National Convenor – main AWIS contact, responsible for leading discussion on AWIS activities and assisting regional convenors (end of term for current National Convenor)
Secretary – secondary AWIS contact, responsible for managing incoming mail and drafting minutes of meetings and discussions
Treasurer – responsible for managing AWIS financial activities and records
Membership Secretary – responsible for managing AWIS’ electronic membership database
Editor – manage content for AWIS website and monthly e-newsletter
Regional Convenor – responsible for organising AWIS activities in specified region:
· Auckland
· Waikato
· Palmerston North
· Wellington
· Tasman
· Christchurch
· Dunedin

If you won't be at the AGM simply fill in the nomination form and get it back to membsec.awis@gmail.com by 5th July. You can nominate yourself for more than one position, and members attending the AGM will be asked to vote if more than one nomination is received for a position.
