Dell Day 2024 - a celebration of New Zealand women in science
Dame Miriam Dell, botanist, teacher, suffragist and mentor, was born on 14 June 1924.
To honour what would have been Dame Miriam’s 100th birthday, AWIS – of which Dame Miriam was Patron for many years – would like people across Aotearoa New Zealand to join together in a celebration of women in science.
Join us online and hear some of New Zealand's women in science share stories of their own science heroines. Speakers will include Dr Megan Woods, Dr Gill Jolly and many more.
Our online celebration will take place from 10.30am until 12.00pm - perfect timing to get your colleagues and friends together and extend the celebration with morning tea or lunch.
