Dell Award 2023 nominations wanted
Nominations are now open for the 2023 Miriam Dell Award for Excellence in Science Mentoring.
The Dell Award is a biennial award to recognise those who go above and beyond in supporting women in developing their science career, from tertiary education to the workplace.
Winners of the Dell Award receive a glass sculpture designed by artist Christine Cathie (winners prior to 2019 received a Di Tocker artistic piece) as well as an invitation for an all-expenses paid trip to an event where they will publicly receive their award.
Previous winners have included:
- 2013 Dr Judith O'Brien, University of Auckland
- 2015 Dr Rosyln Kemp, University of Otago
- 2017 Dr Vivien Kirk, University of Auckland
- 2019 Dr Abby Smith, University of Otago
- 2021 Di Tracey, NIWA
